New Members JoseKreif Posted August 24, 2015 at 05:07 PM New Members Report Posted August 24, 2015 at 05:07 PM I'm Developing a software for a Chinese Company. I'm setting Up Instructions, messages and Buttons in Chinese to make it more comfortable for them. I have Instructions like:STEP 1 STEP 2 Etc.... How Do you say "Step 1" In Chinese? I would use Google translator, but that isn't a good thing to trust for actual translations. (i.e step 1 could translate into something about footsteps) I need to translate "Export Reports", I figure I could use Google for this, so I translated "Export The Reports" to 导出报告 --- Is that about right? I would also like a translation for "Process Data" I also have a large amount of "error messages" and "informational messages". I want to put in Chinese. If will be much more easier for them to read these errors in their own language. Will Google Translate be sufficient for most of what I need? Thanks Quote
Shelley Posted August 25, 2015 at 09:30 AM Report Posted August 25, 2015 at 09:30 AM I suggest that you employ a translator, there are several on these forums, or there are other places to hire translators. I understand the general feeling is that as it is more than just a couple of very short sentences- large amount of "error messages" and "informational messages" . and as you will presumably be paid for the work it is only fair to pay for the translations and you will get a high standard, Google is very hit and miss, especially for technical and computer vocabulary. 1 Quote
