Means:Although the road is endless and faraway, I still want to pursue the truth in the world. In this sentence, "上下" means sky and earth. "求索" means to find and pursue. Quote

I also want to say something about the classical chinese sentence:"路漫漫其修远兮，吾将上下而求索" The writer (屈原）is a famous poet in ancient China. The character 兮is obsolete in the modern chinese which is used as a modal auxiliary word in past. And I think "上下"is not just the literal meaning in sentence. Do you think so? Quote
