New Members Rok Posted September 10, 2015 at 07:56 PM New Members Report Share Posted September 10, 2015 at 07:56 PM Hello I am researching relations between Taiwan and China, now I need your help. Most of the policies names and quotes I already translated or found in books/on internet, but for some I have problems with finding. Specifically I would really appreciate if someone can find me official quote in chinese given from Chinese communist party right after Chen Shui-bian's first election. The quote where they are saying he will probably be nice in the beginnig but when he will gain power he will make troubles. I find the quote in a book called Inseparable separation (Huang and Li), the quote is originally from Su Qi Weixian bianyuan (蘇 掑 危險邊緣), page 162. Anyway, I cant find Su Qi's book on internet for free, I just need that page 162 where the quote is. The second possibility is looking through statements of CCP but that is just too much, specialy for looking statements made 15 years ago. Does anyone have an idea? Or Su Qi's book
oceancalligraphy Posted September 11, 2015 at 03:47 AM Report Share Posted September 11, 2015 at 03:47 AM The author's name is 蘇起, typically romanized as Su Chi.

New Members Rok Posted October 1, 2015 at 12:06 PM Author New Members Report Share Posted October 1, 2015 at 12:06 PM It is me again. For two weeks I stopped research and now I am starting again. I still did not found an original quote. In english, this is a quote I am looking for: "In the initial period after taking office, [Chen] might bow to pressures from various quarters and change his tactics from overt advocacy of Taiwan independence to covert advocacy of Taiwan independence. While refraining from taking risky, substantive steps toward Taiwan independence prematurely, he might even adopt a conciliatory posture from time to time... But once he consolidates his hold on power, he is likely to speed up the drive toward Taiwan independence. Therefore, we must be prepared for a long-term struggle against him." Its a comment from CCP right after Chen's first election. skylee thank you, but I did not found it in the link you provided. I also looked on CCP webisite's archive but the oldest news I can found are only from 2012. Also, I will write one page long conclusion in chinese. Do I have a chance that some of the natives here can check it quickly for at least the biggest writting mistakes? But I have to write in fantizi, I hope that is not a problem.
