自由翱翔 Posted June 21, 2005 at 03:45 PM Report Posted June 21, 2005 at 03:45 PM I think《辞海》is a good choice. But the book is too thick. Quote
xixi123 Posted June 24, 2005 at 09:06 AM Report Posted June 24, 2005 at 09:06 AM i would also recommend u 辭海, since it's easier to understand and to use. anyway u can also have a look to 中國大百科全書, even though personally i don't like it so much. Quote
in_lab Posted June 27, 2005 at 02:03 AM Report Posted June 27, 2005 at 02:03 AM Do you mostly want to read about Chinese subjects? I went to a couple large bookstores yesterday and only saw one encyclopedia. I can't remember the name. It looked like it was a translation of an English encylopedia. Each entry had an English title, and the encylopedia was ordered by these titles. At first it seemed strange, but on second thought, it makes sense. If you want to find an obscure name, you don't have to guess how they transliterated it into Chinese. Quote
