Han_Fu Posted September 30, 2015 at 12:44 PM Report Posted September 30, 2015 at 12:44 PM I am a postgraduate on a government scholarship in China, but due to family issues I had to return home just after registering and before applying for a residence permit, so now I need to reapply for an X1 visa to go back. My university says they can't give me a new JW201 form, so can I use a photocopy of my old JW201 again (even though the registration date is 8th Sept)? I contacted the Visa Centre a week ago, but they haven't replied. Does anyone have any experience of this? Quote
roddy Posted September 30, 2015 at 03:35 PM Report Posted September 30, 2015 at 03:35 PM Hmm. I suspect the university could issue you a new JW201 form - but there's a cost and hassle involved, and you've left once... In your circumstances I'd submit the application, with a letter explaining the circumstances and the instructions from the university (if you can get them to fax or scan something official-looking that might help) and see what happens. 1 Quote
