rtf Posted October 6, 2015 at 08:55 AM Report Posted October 6, 2015 at 08:55 AM 各位好: Given the sentence 在公共气车站,他排队上车了 is it possible to distinguish between the meanings 'At the bus stop he queued up and (then) got on a bus (他排队/上车)' and 'At the bus stop he got on a bus in his turn (他排队上车)'? Maybe to convey the former 他站队上车 would be more appropriate? 多谢。 Quote
陳德聰 Posted October 7, 2015 at 03:41 AM Report Posted October 7, 2015 at 03:41 AM I'm not sure what you're distinguishing between? The Chinese means he queued up and got on the bus. I don't understand what your second meaning would mean in English. Quote
