Hi all,

I have recently inherited 2 x Chinese Silk Paintings that were gift to my Great Grandfather by the Chinese Government in the mid 1950's.

I was wondering if someone could please help me out with translating the name of the Artist etc.

Thanks in advance.

In every Chinese painting, the painter would leave his/her name on the right/left side. 學仙寫 is the sample.

1st character學, Learn (学)
2nd character 僊, immortal, variant of 仙
        1+2= 學僊 , is the painter’s name. (字or 號)
3rd character 寫,  means wrote

In the paintings, every man/woman is the immortal.
They stay in the mountains, meet with close friends, enjoy their life easily, and live very long life.
This painting is the imagination world of the immortals.

And is the painter looking for.
