Once Upon a Time in China Theme Song

I'm looking for the theme song of the Once Upon a Time in China series (it's the song that they play when they are practicing martial arts on the beach during the credits, sorry I don't know the name of it). I have heard it in many different martial arts movies, so I'm assuming it used to be popular. I'd also like to getthe lyrics, if possible (in english and pinyin), so I know what they're saying. If anyone could help me out with this, I'd be eternally greatful! Can't get the tune out of my head... haha. Thanks.

Obviously there are different versions of that song which is translated "A Man Should Help Himself". It seems like the song is sung by Jackie Chan in the second OUATIC movie.

The original Cantonese version was sung by George Lam (林子祥), who, unlike Jackie Chan, is a real singer. You can find the song here and here and here.

The melody itself is called 將軍令 (Jiangjun Ling), an ancient piece of Chinese music. You can find it here.

The lyrics ->

there are some words that are different, between this version and skylees version. does anyone know the reason for that dfference?

George Lam's original version is in Cantonese. The Jackie Chan and other versions are in Mandarin. Some words had been adapted to make it sound better in Mandarin.

BTW, I have found some mistakes in the Mandarin lyrics (I hate Jackie Chan's singing so had never really listened to what he sang until now) ->

胞僸 bao jin (X) - 胸襟 xiong jin (O)

奮發 fen fa (X) - 發奮 fa fen (O)

活氣 huo qi (X) - 浩氣 hao qi (O)

要出 yao chu (X) - 耀出 yao chu (O)

sigh... anyway, there are some words that are different, between this version and skylees version. does anyone know the reason for that dfference?

heh, sorry, I already looked at that link you sent Cat, and i forgot to quote skylee in my responce, so it made it sound like I was asking everyone, when i really was just trying to ask skylee. I liked the link you sent Cat, I liked how they formated the chinese, pinyin, and english... now if i could get the same thing for the version of the song that Skylee sent out...

Hm, there are some mistakes in the link that I posted, though. For Example, they had quang when it was guang for 光。
