abcdefg Posted October 28, 2015 at 03:17 AM Author Report Posted October 28, 2015 at 03:17 AM I had assumed he rejected it because he knew he didn't deserve it. His high moral scruples came into play. In fact, my research team recently discovered this brief communication: Dear Confucius Peace Prize Committee, Thank you for the honor of conferring this most prestigious award on me. Although I am flattered by the approval which it conveys, my humble and unflinchingly honest nature prevents my accepting it. I am unworthy of such an award in the eyes of God, even though all my people love and adore me. Please understand my reluctance as just one more sign of my noble nature and do not take offense where none was intended. Perhaps your esteemed committee should consider giving this award to my dear brother in the search for universal peace, Abubakar Shekau, the courageous and upright leader of Boko Haram. I can think of no other so richly deserving. Sincerely, Robert Mugabe, President-for-Life, Zimbabwe 2 Quote
