Hello, what does these two sentences mean (I found them in a book):

叫坏人打了 and 的头让人打坏了

IMHO there "sentences" mean nothing without the context.

刘新远晚上休息不好,每天睡觉的时间只有两三个小时,常常,她一睡觉就好像看见了儿子,不是看见他玩电脑游戏,就是看到他生病了,发烧、头疼……或者儿子叫坏人打了。有一次,她好像看见儿子站在那里,手里拿着一个苹果,也不吃。

   旁边有个小狗,儿子的头让人打坏了,身上有很多血。她非常着急,想过去看看儿子,可是,儿子的眼睛冷冷的,对她说:“你别过来!我不想和你说什么!”就 在她快要跑到儿子旁边的时候,儿子骑自行车跑远了。刘新远哭着,跑着,一紧张就一下坐起来了,这时候,她的眼睛已经哭得红红的了。

 

I believe both 叫 and 让 can be replaced by 被 in this passage.

Literal translation:

叫坏人打了 to have been beaten by a bad man/bad men

的头让人打坏了 -'s head was/has been beaten and became/has become bad
