New Members white43 Posted November 4, 2015 at 10:50 AM New Members Report Share Posted November 4, 2015 at 10:50 AM Hi All, Trying to recreate some cards for the Blade Runner universe and at some point, someone created these: Is anyone able to identify what is actually written on the back of these cards?? Many Thanks
Lu Posted November 4, 2015 at 11:10 AM Report Share Posted November 4, 2015 at 11:10 AM 您被准许起作用以下类连结六 It looks like translatese to me (but someone can correct me if I'm wrong) and seems to say: You [polite you] have been authorised to use the following kind/sort/category link six Does that sound like something that might be on it? I can't make much of it but perhaps it makes more sense in context.
New Members white43 Posted November 4, 2015 at 11:14 AM Author New Members Report Share Posted November 4, 2015 at 11:14 AM Hiya - thanks for the quick response! That sounds about right. I would expect it to say something along the lines of that. I suspect someone was trying to translate: "Authorised to use the following category : Nexus Six" Has someone simply translated English into Chinese using Google?? roddy Posted November 4, 2015 at 11:29 AM Report Share Posted November 4, 2015 at 11:29 AM Yeah, it's a poor translation, but it looks like that's what they were trying to translate. You could just argue that in the future that's correct Chiinese. in context 'Nexus' is a brand / product name, it's been translated as 'link' or 'connection' which I don't think works well. It'd be fairly normal to choose characters with a similar pronunciation in this case: 内克斯 or something like that, maybe.
Lu Posted November 4, 2015 at 02:53 PM Report Share Posted November 4, 2015 at 02:53 PM And then 内克斯六号 rather than just 六. Ah well. OP, yes it was probably a google translation, certainly not something a real speaker did. But it gets the message across alright.
