Reapplying Chinese Government Scholarship

Hello, I have a bit peculiar situation with the CGS scholarship and I'd like to know your thoughts on this.

I applied and received bilateral CSC scholarship to study for a bachelor's degree of Chinese language plus additional preparatory year. However I was unfortunately put to university in Beijing and I had health difficulties especially in winter due to pollution. So I tried changing with the scholarship and my embassy agreed to help but unfortunately the universities couldn't agree with it.

Then I decided since I can't stay in Beijing for another winter I'd study next year as self-paid student and apply again next year in hope to receive city where I don't have such problems like Shanghai or any other with little bit better air quality.

Now is it possible to apply again? I plan to write my application letter all in Chinese and of course explain the situation and I really can't afford another year as self-paid so otherwise will have to quit my studies here. Originally the scholarship was for five years and I changed university after first preparatory year so maybe they take it into consideration. Really sad situation but maybe would be good idea to apply again for scholarship?

Have you fully abandoned your scholarship (meaning that they stopped funding you)? If so, then it is no problem to reapply for a scholarship, however you have to flag this fact in your application package, which could deteriorate your chance in receiving the CGS again.

Yes, I have fully given up on it. Also little bit afraid about chances lowering because of previously having it but I guess can't get around it :( I think there was one column where they asked about previously receiving scholarship in the application form.

Hello, I want to change my university. Could you please tell if you returned the money awarded to you through a scholarship? or you just changed your university? Thanks!
