daofeishi Posted November 11, 2015 at 09:59 PM Report Share Posted November 11, 2015 at 09:59 PM I've come across the word 鲁莽 a few times, and have always pronounced it as lǔmǎng, i.e. lúmǎng with the ordinary tone sandhi. A friend of mine claims that the most common pronunciation is lǔmáng. I have no problem believing that that could be true, since there are cases like 勉强 where the dictionary says it should be pronounced miǎnqiǎng, but miǎnqiáng is in common use. Can anyone confirm (or deny)?

ChenKai9301 Posted November 20, 2015 at 03:46 AM Report Share Posted November 20, 2015 at 03:46 AM lǔmǎng is correct. But lúmǎng is also ok,because when you speak it out,it sounds like that. But lǔmáng is deffinately not right. And 勉强 should be pronounced miǎnqiǎng,that's true. qiǎng is particular used in this word. Some Chinese people pronounced it like miǎnqiáng,just because their Chinese are not good as well... Chinese is also hard for ourselves to learn ;-P
