RY101 Posted November 20, 2015 at 06:08 AM Report Share Posted November 20, 2015 at 06:08 AM Hello. When it comes to learning Chinese, I keep trying to expose myself to new bits of the language until they become familiar to me. To that end, my preferred style of studying is just learning through sentences. And I rediscovered the following website today. https://www.antosch-and-lin.com/ I don't think this website is well known. It seems like it's full of features and sends you an email that gives you the new bits of language daily. The main thing I wanna know before I pay and become the full member is how much of advanced/intermediate content is there. Having studied Chinese for months now, I seem to be at HSK level 5, at least vocabulary wise, and B1 when it comes to spoken communication and listening comprehension. Right now, I am going through the readings at http://collections.uiowa.edu/chinese/topic_intermediate.html and I like it because I don't need to go anywhere else to keep challenge myself. I will be done doing a lot of reading on that website and other activities related to improving my Chinese by the end of this month and I wish to keep studying Chinese time very efficient and minimum. So, long story short, does anyone have insight or experience as to the content of this website for learning Chinese language? Unfortunately, my free membership is already expired and it seems like the website has changed quite a bit since the very first time I discovered this website and bookmarked it. Shelley Posted November 20, 2015 at 10:59 AM Report Share Posted November 20, 2015 at 10:59 AM The link you provided is declared unsafe by Firefox and I have not had a look, maybe this is why it is not well known
delpino Posted December 2, 2015 at 03:14 AM Report Share Posted December 2, 2015 at 03:14 AM The new URL is https://www.learnwitholiver.com/chinese/ which is why the "unsafe" message comes. Best to update your forum post to reflect that. Here's a good LearnWithOliver.com review from Herr Antrim, it discusses the German site, but the Chinese site works in the same way: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nsQvNCCcB1A
