bomber01 Posted November 22, 2015 at 02:33 AM Report Posted November 22, 2015 at 02:33 AM Hello everyone ! I currently have a one year student visa since last september. My question is : I would live to change city for the next semester. Can i keep my student visa if i found a new school ? What's happen if don't find any suitable school for the next semester ? Do i lose my visa even if i havent missed any single class during the first semester ? Many thanks in advance for your answers !! Quote
ChTTay Posted November 22, 2015 at 02:44 AM Report Posted November 22, 2015 at 02:44 AM If you officially leave the school you're at or stop going to classes for long enough that they notice, then the school will cancel your residence permit/visa. I'm not sure but I imagine that your residence permit is tied to your school and that you'd likely have to 'transfer' to a new school. A similar process to changing jobs in China. Quote
zhouhaochen Posted November 23, 2015 at 02:48 AM Report Posted November 23, 2015 at 02:48 AM Officially your visa is for you studying at that school and if you change school you need a new visa. That being said, a lot of people would simply not worry about it and use it at another school. It is quite a bit of effort to cancel a visa, so I am not sure if your school will go through the trouble if you do not study there. Quote
