Please Help me Understand Figural Scene on Porcelain!

Hello,

I have this porcelain bowl and try to find out the meaning of the figural scene. It seems take place in front of an altar, am I right? But what are these tusk-like objects? And why do the two small seated figures have no faces? Thank you in advance for any help!
