Does anyone know how to get a pair of crutches in Shanghai

My friend is in Shanghai, and injured her leg (bruised and swollen ankle).  She says there is no where to get crutches in Shanghai and will not see a doctor.  Just wondering if anyone has some creative suggestions.  Thanks!

Medical equipment stores should have them. Do a search on Dianping for "医疗器材" and call the listed numbers to ask if they have them:

Or Amazon.cn will deliver. If your friend is foreign and doesn't know her way around the Chinese Internet, fair enough. If she's Chinese, she could maybe try a little harder to figure this out.

Larger pharmacies in China sell durable medical equipment (like crutches) as well as medication. They tend to cluster around the major hospitals. One of these is more likely to stock them than is an ordinary neighborhood 药方。

Put her in a taxi and take her to the hospital. Tell her it's your treat. Seriously, if you're hurt enough you need crutches you should see a doctor. If her ankle is broken just walking on crutches for a while is not going to help.

Find a major hospital, then look around the surrounding block. There are usually many small shops near the hospitals. These will sell crutches, wheelchairs, and related items.

Borrow a pair from someone who is already on crutches, such as a beggar. It should be like taking candy from a baby. I mean, what are they going to do, chase you down?
