DonCachopo Posted December 11, 2015 at 01:35 PM Report Share Posted December 11, 2015 at 01:35 PM Hi. I´m trying to create a business card in chinese. Most of my fonts don´t support chinese characters. Can anyone suggest me an elegant font that supports chinese? Thanks!
edelweis Posted December 16, 2015 at 06:08 PM Report Share Posted December 16, 2015 at 06:08 PM I don't know about elegant fonts, perhaps look into Hoffman's threads. You will be using different fonts for the Chinese and latin characters text?
Shelley Posted December 16, 2015 at 10:03 PM Report Share Posted December 16, 2015 at 10:03 PM Are able to type chinese characters? what I mean is have you enabled the Asian language support on your computer. Once you have done this you can find lots of TT chinese fonts for free on line and also pay for some which you can then use in Word or any other program that supports TT fonts. You can then use the Microsoft input method for characters and type characters. This is the first in the list of a Google search, just to show you what's out there.http://www.certifiedchinesetranslation.com/fonts/Chinese.html
lips Posted December 17, 2015 at 09:36 AM Report Share Posted December 17, 2015 at 09:36 AM Personally I like a brush script xingkai 毛笔行楷 font. 行楷 is close enough to standard 楷书 that it is easily unstandable, yet artistically stands out from the standard 楷书 font. A brush script font is much more elegant than a pen script font. An example: (These are *not* free for commercial use, and use on a business card is commercial use) http://www.ps123.net/photoshop/HTML/3994.html http://www.ps123.net/photoshop/html/4150.html
Hofmann Posted December 17, 2015 at 10:00 AM Report Share Posted December 17, 2015 at 10:00 AM What sort of business are you in? This would determine the style you'd want. Serif: 方正雅宋 series. Sans-serif: 方正蘭亭黑 series. Regular script: 華文楷體. Also you might want to read this.
