Alex_Hart Posted July 26, 2016 at 04:38 PM Report Posted July 26, 2016 at 04:38 PM @hannafit I'm not sure, but ZheDa was very clear that I could not come before Sept 7th or after August 15th, and the acceptance letter says September 8th. I asked forum members about it and a few encouraged me to try to enter anyway (because I really wanted to!), but I'm worried about getting in trouble with the notoriously difficult Chinese bureaucracy. If you intend on staying on campus, you will also be unable to get a room until September 8th so will need to cover your own expenses. If you do intend on testing the date, I would try to get there before the G20 (so September 1st, ish). Regardless of security and whatnot, the traffic and transportation systems will be a nightmare once the event kicks off. Let me know if you're going early - I'm still debating on my own timing! I just applied for my visa yesterday and will go pick it up on Friday so I will see when it begins, may have the bad luck of it not actually allowing me in until September 7th since that's what the acceptance letter states as my expected entry date... I wouldn't worry about the jet lag, however. ZheDa told me several times that classes start on the 10th, but 没关系 if I can't get there until the 11th or 12th. They seem to expect a lot of delays to the school year due to the G20, and we will all be arriving jet lagged. I'm hoping to get a stipend to live off campus, so I wanted time to find an apartment, but c'est la vie. Hopefully everyone has enough time in the first week or two to get acclimated and figure Hangzhou out a bit! Also hoping they give us a few relatively homework-free weekends. Would be nice to see the countryside around Hangzhou and taste some teas from the (by all accounts amazing) tea plantations that surround the city. We shall see! @Elijah: True! We'll all find our way to the goal post regardless of the path we take. 1

ELIJAH Posted July 26, 2016 at 10:39 PM Report Posted July 26, 2016 at 10:39 PM @horlajide I don’t think it is about CGPA. I think it is about being able to know what you want to do. Find someone, a professor, a researcher working on what you would want to work on. Convince that professor at all right cost. Get your professor to be passionate about what you are capable to achieve if given the training opportunity. You are not saying that you have it all but you are saying that if you are taught what to do, you have the natural zest and make up to deliver expected result. Your supervisor participates in getting the Department to recommend you. This a great victory and it gives birth to all other natural processes of CSC. If I am asked: the CSC's processes are not mysterious but very straight forward but systematic. 1
koolesttom Posted July 26, 2016 at 11:19 PM Report Posted July 26, 2016 at 11:19 PM @Elijah. You're on point. . If a supervisor is secured, csc will be more straightforward in securing. God being on one's side. 1
ParisParis Posted July 27, 2016 at 06:00 AM Report Posted July 27, 2016 at 06:00 AM Can somebody tell me how CSC scholarship and university registration is related? Do I need to have all documents during registration process or does the university already have the documents/informations about my scholarship?

I.carranza Posted July 27, 2016 at 07:51 AM Report Posted July 27, 2016 at 07:51 AM Hello people, I am so exited to see that after so long people is finally being notified... Unlike my country (Costa Rica) according to the embassy the papers of some universities have not arrived yet and they will only release the admission packages once every student receive their own. It's July the 27th today...the wait time is killing me... How come some packages have not arrived ? Anyone happens to know how does that works ? I thought each University would send the package to CSC then CSC would send it to each embassy respectively, according to the email embassy they have only received the papers from universities based on Beijing, Shanghai and other major cities...I discussed with some other candidates and speculate this delay is being caused by the lack of experience of some universities when dealing with foreigner scholarships paperwork Any thoughts? I heard France, Germany and Turkey embassies have not delivered the admission packages either Enviado desde mi SM-G900F mediante Tapatalk
