yaozilan Posted March 10, 2016 at 02:11 PM Report Posted March 10, 2016 at 02:11 PM @Chris Two Times Chris, I know what you are talking about. I believe CSC does not have any regulations on that since I have friends that have stayed in China after their scholarship, working. However, they applied directly to the University, in China. I mention this because, after checking the application guidelines for our Foreign Relations Office in Mexico (They handle the applications for Mexican applicants, they are the Mexican "agency"), they do mention that you have to sign a letter stating that you will return to your country after completion of your studies, in order to apply your knowledge here. I also applied directly to the University, becasue I don't want to worry about where life takes me after I finish studying. So, I believe CSC itself doesn't require you to leave China after your studies, but some countries' agencies will ask you to return to your country to apply your knowledge acquired. Unless Mexico is the only weirdo, which wouldn't surprise me. LOL.Best regards and the best of luck to all of you! 1

weiwuji Posted March 12, 2016 at 02:58 PM Report Posted March 12, 2016 at 02:58 PM Don't get too complacent. First, it's the International College person who manages the student visa application the one who decides until when you can have your visa. If they say july 15th, then that's your visa. If you're "good" to them, they can extend it. That's how much power they have on their hands. Second, if your visa runs out, it is again that International College of your chosen univerisity who decides, whether they support you back or just leave you out for good. Remember, "connections" matter. 1
TyO Posted March 12, 2016 at 04:58 PM Report Posted March 12, 2016 at 04:58 PM I think his question was more to do if he can get another visa immediately after his scholarship is done...like get a tourist or working visa. which has little, if anything, to do with CSC or 关系 1
New Members Betret Stanley Posted March 12, 2016 at 08:08 PM New Members Report Posted March 12, 2016 at 08:08 PM hi guys.....am Betret from Tanzania I want to apply for Bachelor program through CGS can I send my application document to the dispatching authorities other than embassy? this is because I contacted the Chinese embassy in my country they said they dont receive the applications.
Chris Two Times Posted March 13, 2016 at 02:33 AM Author Report Posted March 13, 2016 at 02:33 AM Yep, TyO is correct. I am currently working in Beijing with a residence permit from an original Z-visa. That expires on July 22nd. I'm well aware of how determining the end date on that works and that is of no concern to me. My idea is to study next year for two semesters in Beijing on an X1 visa and then leave the country when the residence permit for that expires, presumably mid-July 2017. Then I would come back in September 2017 on another work (Z) visa and resume working again in Beijing, provided there is no scholarship stipulation that states (oh! alliteration!) that I must remain out of the country for a certain period of time. Actually yaozilan's (thank you!) post #300 on page 15 of this thread addresses nicely what I was referring to: @Chris Two Times Chris, I know what you are talking about. I believe CSC does not have any regulations on that since I have friends that have stayed in China after their scholarship, working. However, they applied directly to the University, in China. I am a U.S. citizen and I will be applying for the Chinese Government Scholarship through the Chinese Embassy in Washington, DC. I will keep this in the back of my mind for now. eternalflame Posted March 13, 2016 at 09:15 AM Report Posted March 13, 2016 at 09:15 AM Your scholastic records should and/or will not be evaluated based on the size of the paper it has been printed or which paper is on top of whichever paper, or how it has been bounded. You'll do just fine. Just complete the list, send them in. And wait for the result. thanks

susu00 Posted March 13, 2016 at 01:57 PM Report Posted March 13, 2016 at 01:57 PM which universities accept individual applications?
susu00 Posted March 13, 2016 at 01:57 PM Report Posted March 13, 2016 at 01:57 PM Hi guys, I want to apply for chinese language 2 years non degree program, but i don't know which scholarship program should I choose bilateral or marine I'm from African country. "NOTE Only applications of recommended candidates from dispatching authorities will be considered. Candidates holding a Pre-admission Letter will be placed in the host university; those without the Pre-admission Letter should accept CSC’s placement of university." is that means they only consider applications from authorities in my country and I can't apply directly through that program? Thnx in advance
