Between what will CSC do with back ups & Supplementary candidates. Although i have assurance from the university that even if i dont get the CSC they will automatically enroll me for their own full scholarship scheme which is equivalent to CSC. I will watch as many matches as possible and closely follow the action. That will preoccupy me until July 10th. Coming up next: France vs. Romania, 3am start time here in China. I am going to stay up and watch it. I love it that I can watch the match and then as it ends, the sun will be rising here in the Northern Capital. I can go for a walk around 5am when there is really no one out on the street. In a city of 20+ million, it's the best time of the day. My prediction: France-2, Romania-0. I don't know what happened, this is what I meant to say: Hello, so like many here I have been reading this forum for a long time and until today I decided to share my experience.. this is my situation: I applied through the Embassy of China in Mexico in march and I was preselected for the scholarship on April. I also applied to another CSC Scholarship, through the Economic and commercial department of the Embassy and I was also recommended by them... So I have two applications, two recommendations and acceptance letters from the universities (I chose different universities for both applications, just Fudan is twice). I check everyday my CSC Status, my application #1 status is: currently checking (since April) and application #2 is application submitted. Today when I checked my application #2 it said: "application has not been submitted". There was no information in the application, no names, no school options!! I might have suffered a small heart attack haha.. I didn't want to check the other application status.. so I decided to log in again and there was my "application submitted" status for #2 application again. So my advice would be to not freak out with your application status and try to give the CSC webpage a rest. Also I contacted Tsinghua (my first option in application #2) to ask about results and they told me to wait until the beginning of July. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

But if I could choose of course it will be #2 if I also get into Tsinghua because I applied for a master program (Public administration in international development and governance) which in my opinion is perfect for me. I think it will be unfair if what they mean is that the back up guys will hang on the possibility of failure of people on the main list to report. I just hope that is not what it means or could it be like 2nd 11 in football game............ lol ..............lol. The one with the status "currently checking" was through the educational section, the one with the status "already submitted" was through the economic and commerce section of the Embassy. The process from the first one started a lot earlier than the second one, but I know both applications are in process because I received an email from Tsinghua telling me they have received my application from the economic section of the Embassy. I don't think the status matters so much, if you were preselected that means someone is taking care of it, I would recommend that you send emails to your 3 Universities asking them when will they give you an update about your scholarship.
