You're going to need to give us a bit more to go on than that.  'Stormy' has a literal and figurative meaning.  You might be lucky and there might be a similar word/phrase in Chinese that ticks both of those boxes, but again you might not be.

The pet was named after "Storm" (Wind) and was called "Stormy" like "stormy weather" or a "stormy animal". If there is no translation for "stormy" maybe there is one for "storm" ?

There's no Chinese word for "stormy" as an adjective. "Storm" is 风暴, but it sounds weird as hell as a name for a pet.

You could try something like 小雷 (literally "little thunder"). Pet names often start with 小.

Pets usually have names that are the same character twice, think of the names of the pandas they are mostly things like lingling or feifei etc.

Fengfeng, wind twice, might work as characters used twice often emphasise the meaning so windwind 风风 could mean lots of wind = storm.

All this is just my own ideas gleaned from things I have heard and may have no basis in fact.

If he/she is black, and and is active (somewhat stormy?), how about 黑旋風? It's also the moniker of one of the main characters in The Water Margin.

@Rizzi,

Do you have a nickname given to you by those around you???   Is it DENSEby any chance???

A number of people have tried to help you, and tried to explain that Chinese has several words that might approximate the meaning of the English word you have chosen to use to name your pet. They have taken time to try to help you  by explaining the conventions of naming pets in Chinese, and why the language doesn't easily lend itself to what you want to do. Several people have given you suggestions that will come close to the kind of name you want for your pet. If you don't like the advice you were given, and feel you can do better yourself, just get an English=> Chinese dictionary on the web (there are a lot of them, and many of them are free) or in a library and look it up yourself. Nobody here owes you anything.

@Everybody else,

I normally try to stay out of the fray when this kind of thing happens. The moderators are perfectly capable of dealing with it by themselves, but the last post just kinda got to me. I apologize for butting in when I should just keep my big mouth shut. The last few weeks have had a lot of this kind of exchange, and I'm getting a bit disturbed by it. Also, as I'm usually too stupid to back down from a fight, it often gets me in trouble. I'll try not to do it again.
