Lu Posted February 10, 2016 at 03:58 PM Report Share Posted February 10, 2016 at 03:58 PM Or is it just me? The last few days, when I searched a word, it returns ' 抱歉,没找到与"XXX"相关的句子'. It's not that the words I search are too obscure, I tried some really common ones. Do others have this issue too? Does anyone know what's going wrong and what I can do to fix it? Shelley Posted February 10, 2016 at 04:19 PM Report Share Posted February 10, 2016 at 04:19 PM I have never used Jukuu before but to see if it was just you I put in 很 and it did say sorry can't find match etc but on the right side of the page it displayed some results. Not having used it before I am not sure what to expect but here is a link to what I got http://www.jukuu.com/search.php?q=%E5%BE%88 Hope this is of some help. Lu Posted February 10, 2016 at 04:35 PM Author Report Share Posted February 10, 2016 at 04:35 PM Yes, when I click your link I see the same kind of thing I see when I run my own search. The explanation on the right still appears (but is pretty useless, there are better dictionaries for that).
Shelley Posted February 10, 2016 at 06:31 PM Report Share Posted February 10, 2016 at 06:31 PM So should there have been more/better info when it was working properly?
Geiko Posted February 10, 2016 at 06:50 PM Report Share Posted February 10, 2016 at 06:50 PM I never used jukuu either, but this seems to be a screen capture done when it worked properly: From Sinosplice.
baihua Posted February 10, 2016 at 07:06 PM Report Share Posted February 10, 2016 at 07:06 PM Noticed it hasn't been working for a few days. Shame, because I use it a lot and mdbg.net example sentences are drawn from there.
eddyf Posted February 10, 2016 at 09:48 PM Report Share Posted February 10, 2016 at 09:48 PM Yeah it does seem to be broken. This is a good alternative: http://dict.youdao.com/ You can search for example sentences if you prefix your search with "lj:". They also have a mobile app.
Lu Posted February 11, 2016 at 07:56 AM Author Report Share Posted February 11, 2016 at 07:56 AM Shelley, it's supposed to return a whole list of example sentences (English translated to Chinese, but still useful), as Geiko's screenshot shows. Eddy, thanks, I suppose I'll have to make do with Youdao then. Now that Jukuu broke I realise just how much I relied on it.
Lu Posted February 11, 2016 at 11:03 AM Author Report Share Posted February 11, 2016 at 11:03 AM It seems to be working again!
