144 hours visa free transit

I came across this via my CCTV news feed. Apparently as long as you stay in the approved places you can visit for 144 hours without a visa, but you do need to follow the rules as in the link.

But just to be clear for those too lazy to click on the link, this is a special deal for the Shanghai-Jiangsu-Zhejiang region, and for certain nationalities only, in international transit.

A visitor could see a lot there in 6 days. Sounds like a very generous deal.
