Shelley Posted March 5, 2016 at 12:32 PM Report Posted March 5, 2016 at 12:32 PM I came across this via my CCTV news feed. Apparently as long as you stay in the approved places you can visit for 144 hours without a visa, but you do need to follow the rules as in the link. Full info here http://www.travelchinaguide.com/embassy/visa/free-transit-144hour.htm Might be useful for someone, so I thought I would post it. I know nothing about visas, so the only info I have is what is in the link. 1 Quote
889 Posted March 5, 2016 at 01:39 PM Report Posted March 5, 2016 at 01:39 PM But just to be clear for those too lazy to click on the link, this is a special deal for the Shanghai-Jiangsu-Zhejiang region, and for certain nationalities only, in international transit. Quote

abcdefg Posted March 6, 2016 at 10:13 AM Report Posted March 6, 2016 at 10:13 AM A visitor could see a lot there in 6 days. Sounds like a very generous deal. Quote
