Finding a Notary Public

Hi,

Does anyone out there have any idea how to find a Notary in China. Please keep in mind if it entails speaking in Chinese I need to have it written down.

At the moment I am trying to find one so that I can get a criminal history check (wei tuo shu) written. I need this for my girlfriends spouse visa as she lived here for over a year. No she is not chinese.

I have asked the teachers here at this school and noone has any idea, at all of what i am talking about. I am really frustrated by this at the moment and time is running out.

If anyone can help please do.

Search google for 公证处 and the name of your city, or at least tell us which city you're in.

Thanks for the advice. Sorry I guess that i forgot to mention that I am in Huludao City, Liaoning.

Anyhow I managed to find it and they told me that it is going to 600 yuan for 2. Expensive I think.

Does anyone have experience with getting a Notorized Police Clearance Check. If so what price did they charge you for it?

Seems like what you want is in section 2.1. In that case should only be 50-80 yuan.

I think that when I go there today I will be armed with this information. I just hate it when they try to ripe me off with everything simply because i am not chinese. Just because I come from another country does not make me rich, and i need the money for my wedding.
