Papercutting

Anyone here into papercutting? Below is one of the paper cuts that I did. I dont have a template I just draw whatever design I saw online. Because of papercutting I also do paper crafts

You need to up load the picture.

 

To do so you need to click on "More Reply Options" at the bottom right of the reply box then click on "Browse" and then navigate to your picture on your computer and the click " Attach This File"

 

Then we can see your papercut.

 

I really like paper cutting, I have a little collection and I admire the skill that went in to making them. I am into crafts but have never felt I have the skills to do one myself.

Do you do them with scissors?

 

I think chinese scissors are really good. I have a small pair and want buy some more different sizes.

Yup I dont have a template so I just draw based on the papercuts I saw online.

I have a carving knife and a small pair of sharp scissors (it is called eyebrow scissors) I cant find a Chinese scissors so I improvised by buying a small eyebrow scissors.

Another.. I did the 12 animals, then my favorite (everyone else's favorite) Panda!, and lastly the Chinese character... commonly used in weddings? Double happiness...

and my one of my favorite papercut that I did... my avatar before(I changed it to Monkey King because I like the Monkey King - Jet Li and also in the Chinese signs the year I was born was ruled by the monkey). Anyway here's the papercut..entitled it
