Chinese Reference Materials

Dear friends and colleagues:

University of the Philippines (UP) Faculty Center was razed by fire and all books, materials, historical memorabilia that were stored in this building were burnt into ashes.

One of the departments that was greatly affected is the Department of Linguistics and we could help the Department by giving study materials like books, magazines, CDs, DVDs, reference materials - anything that would aid the students to learn the Chinese language and culture. If you have any of the above that you do not longer use, we will appreciate if you can donate them. Of course, brand new textbooks/items are accepted too! If you also have other linguistics and foreign language learning materials (e.g. Japanese, Korean), they will also be helpful!

A single material will really be a big help as the Linguistics department faculty members and students are left with zero number of books - not to mention, not even a shelf to stock them. Together, we could regain what has been lost and amplify the interests of the current and future students of the University to learn and love the Chinese language and culture.

菲律宾国立大学教师中心 （英文名：University of the Philippines Faculty Center) 遭受了一场意外火灾，建筑中所有书籍、艺术珍品、学校档案和文件都烧毁了。

菲律宾国立大学语言学系 （英文名：UP Department of Linguistics) 是遭受最大损失的学院之一，为了帮助学院师生尽快恢复正常的工作学习，希望大家可以捐助一些学习资料， 如：课本、杂志、光盘、工具书、等等（可以帮助学生学习中文、了解中华文化的物品都好）。无论使用过的还是全新的，我们都非常感激。此外，如果大家有语言学的书和学外语的书，如：学韩日文的书，也会对学生有很大的帮助。

因为语言学系的教师与学生失去了所有的学习资料，所以无论什么样的书都十分宝贵。

火灾无情，人有情，希望大家帮助我们一同渡过难关。
