I would like to study in Nanjing for a year or more, but I have several questions : 1. How is the air quality? Is it so bad as I heared? 2. How is the life in campus ? 3. The classes are in chinese or also in english ? Thank you very much! This is my email adress : removed Quote
abcdefg Posted April 12, 2016 at 12:41 AM Report Posted April 12, 2016 at 12:41 AM It's best not to post your e-mail address on the internet. It isn't safe. It's also not necessary. People can answer your questions here publicly on the forum. You can edit your post by means of the "edit" button in the lower right corner. Real-time air quality information can be found here: http://aqicn.org/city/nanjing/ Historical data will require two or three minutes of Google research. 1 Quote

dtcamero Posted February 13, 2017 at 05:48 PM Report Posted February 13, 2017 at 05:48 PM nanjing is great! very green, relatively clean, and cheap! the only downsides are: * the heat, famously one of the four hottest cities in china. * not many upscale restaurants 1. air quality is relatively good for a large coastal city 2. not sure about your college, i'd say if you are chinese it's good. if not it's probably going to be pretty weird, but you're an exchange student so it's probably going to be a bit challenging wherever you go really... 3. again depends on your college. personally i'd really recommend studying chinese for a few years before going, regardless of the availability of english coursework. ( if you can read a book with a little help then you should be ok...) nanjing isn't a first-tier city and does not have many english speakers. people do speak fairly unaccented mandarin, however! 1 Quote
