Shelley Posted April 26, 2016 at 01:17 PM Report Posted April 26, 2016 at 01:17 PM gòng 共 common, general gǎn 感 feel, sense I think that maybe the concept "common sense" was the idea. But sense here is meant as in to feel. So it doesn't really work. I take it you traced over the actual tattoo? If the font is similar then it probably looks okay. There is no idea of scale though, how big is it approx? just out of interest Quote
Lu Posted April 26, 2016 at 02:19 PM Report Posted April 26, 2016 at 02:19 PM As Shelley says, 共感, which unfortunately is meaningless, to my knowledge. The font/calligraphy is okay, although the strokes of 共 look a bit short on the right side and the lines are a bit thin for a tattoo. Quote
somethingfunny Posted April 26, 2016 at 04:17 PM Report Posted April 26, 2016 at 04:17 PM This font, at best, looks like the cutesy child-like scrawl font that most Chinese girls under the age of 18 seem to be using on their phones. (Not that I'm in the habit going round checking out the phones of teenage girls.) (I just noticed because they're always playing on them in class.) Quote
Shelley Posted April 26, 2016 at 05:21 PM Report Posted April 26, 2016 at 05:21 PM I don't think we can accurately comment on the font because I think it is photo of a piece of tracing paper or similar that has had the characters traced on it, so we may never know what the real font/style is. Quote
eddyf Posted April 28, 2016 at 12:07 AM Report Posted April 28, 2016 at 12:07 AM I think it means "empathy" in Japanese. Quote
