archimon Posted April 25, 2016 at 06:15 PM Report Posted April 25, 2016 at 06:15 PM Hi guys! I just recieved notice that I'd been awarded a two-month Huayu Enrichment Scholarship for my study at ICLP this summer, but I was hoping for some advice. I'm planning to head back to ICLP next spring and summer, and was wondering if anyone had any experience declining a shorter-term scholarship and reapplying. I don't want to turn down $1500, but I'd rather reapply and have it cover living expenses for a longer period if I could. From what I can see, these scholarships aren't hugely competitive in general, but who knows. I attend a solid US University (Rutgers) and have a 3.9 GPA, so I imagine, considering that they don't ask for an essay, that I'm a fairly competitive applicant. Thanks for any advice you guys can offer! Also, figured I'd start a thread for those applying to the scholarship this year. 1 Quote
