Recomendation for Chinese non-fiction books.

Hi everyone

I've been wanting to try my luck at reading  Chinese non-fiction for a while, since I generally enjoy reading non-fiction.

Does anyone have som suggestions? My only requirement would be that they are originally written in Chinese and the topic of the book is somehow related to China/Chinese society.

Kind of wondering why you don't want to read a translated book?

Ooh, have you ever read anything by 薛欣然 Xinran? She writes non-fiction in Chinese (and sometimes in English) about life and society in China, women's place in a Chinese society, the generations that survived the cultural revolution, ... I've really enjoyed her books and suggest you check them out!
