New Members loneblade Posted May 16, 2016 at 09:33 PM New Members Report Posted May 16, 2016 at 09:33 PM Hi, I am a Taiwan born US Citizen (passport also states that I was born in Taiwan), and I am trying to get a China Visa to visit my wife's family. Unfortunately I left Taiwan around the age of 6 or 7, and none of us suspected that we may need to keep any of my old documents. As a result, I am unable to find any documents that contains my Chinese name as supporting document to apply for the Visa. Does anyone have any advice what I can do to hopefully get a China Visa? Thanks! Quote

onebir Posted May 17, 2016 at 10:24 AM Report Posted May 17, 2016 at 10:24 AM Assuming this is for Mainland China, maybe the easiest way would be if your wife's family can sponsor a Q visa for you: https://www.travelchinaguide.com/embassy/visa/family-reunion.htm I don't think being Taiwanese-born would affect this kind of visa; the consulate staff should be able to advise you.
