Shelley Posted May 19, 2016 at 07:41 PM Report Share Posted May 19, 2016 at 07:41 PM In my business I buy electronic components a lot. The information pictured is not what you usually need to find out what it is. Usually there is alpha/numeric part number, For example 2n3773 is a power transistor. http://uk.farnell.com/multicomp/2n3773/transistor-npn-to-3/dp/1165893?CMP=KNC-GUK-GEN-SKU-MDC&gross_price=true&gclid=CJvt6dPw5swCFUyeGwodTHQOew&mckv=s6UVO2Lpx_dc|pcrid|99301596728|kword|2n3773|match|p|plid| This shows you what putting 2n3773 into a search engine will give you, this was first on the list. Do you know what the part is? transistor, IC, switch etc? If there are no identify marks on the component, you will need to get hold of a circuit diagram and/or parts list and find the manufactures number that you can use to buy the part. Failing that ring/email the maker of your equipment and ask them, sometimes they won't tell you because they don't want to share their knowledge and if that's the case there is not much you can do except search repair forums specific to your piece of equipment. I have had to give up on repairing some equipment because the information is not available.
New Members spitfireant Posted May 20, 2016 at 01:35 AM Author New Members Report Share Posted May 20, 2016 at 01:35 AM Thank you both for your help. The link you posted is the manufacturer. This is the only marking on this part. It is a small IC in a DIP 8 package. Looks like it's a custom from the company above. At least I know where to go now. Thanks again.
