Joshmakesnoise Posted June 13, 2016 at 07:13 AM Report Posted June 13, 2016 at 07:13 AM Hey all, After living in shanghai for nearly 2 years I have decided I will obtain an undergraduate degree in Chinese. I am self-taught in mandarin, I can read, speak and type in Chinese but I am unable to write more than a couple of hundred characters. I wanna start studying in one of the Univeristies in Shanghai for about 3 years but each course I find is for a minimum of 4 years. Considering my level of Chinese at this current stage I am trying to find a University that's offering the course in 3 years. If anyone knows of which universities which are please send them my way. Searching online to find the right course and University in Shanghai is super difficult as the information is so vague. Also, if anyone studies undergrad Chinese at University now in Shanghai please let me know what you think. (P.s) I wanted to post this in the "Universities in China" Category but for some reason I am unable to post in there. Josh Quote
onebir Posted June 13, 2016 at 12:03 PM Report Posted June 13, 2016 at 12:03 PM Don't know about Shanghai but some unis let you skip 2 years if your HSK score is high enough: http://www.chinese-forums.com/index.php?/topic/40354-universities-that-lets-you-graduate-in-two-year-if-you-have-hsk5/ So there's some hope at least...
