Hello everybody,

My name is Enrico and I am a tattoo artist based in Venice, Italy.

I am currently working on the drawing of a tattoo for one of my clients;

beneath the main drawing she requested the Mandarin Chinese ideograms for "Rise Up" (meaning physically and mentally).

What do you think would be the best translation?

Thanks to my little knowing of Chinese I was going with ”振奋“ , what do you think about it?

谢谢 everybody!

The national anthem of the PRC starts with 起來. Perhaps you could consider it. Please do not use simplified Chinese. And please choose the font carefully. If you could do it in a running script it might look better.

Thank you! Do you think that 起来 has the same poetic meaning intended? Or it means more to stand up phisically?

It's the same except it's simplified script. I agree with skylee that you should use traditional script instead.
