egmonterrubio Posted June 25, 2016 at 05:03 PM Report Share Posted June 25, 2016 at 05:03 PM Hello. I've been reading and learning about buddhism lately and I've seen the enso circle as a very important symbol in zen buddhism. But i've seen this image with the enso and some kanjis by the side (I attached the image). So i'm just curious about what it says (I'm not sure if it's Japanese or Chinese, so if it's Japanese sorry for the mistake) Thanks a lot for your help. skylee Posted June 25, 2016 at 11:48 PM Report Share Posted June 25, 2016 at 11:48 PM The words on the picture on the left are 平常心是道 (pingchang xin shi dao), which on some websites is translated to "ordinary mind is the way". The artist signed "早苗書" (written by Sanae). The seal of the artist reads "坂本早苗” (Sakamoto Sanae) if I read it correctly.
