Buying from Taobao while not in China

I am back in the U.S. now for a year...maybe longer.  I would still like to be able to order some things from Taobao, mostly as gifts to send to Chinese friends.  I still have a bank account open in China - the ICBC - though there is not much money in the account.  What is the best/cheapest way to pay for the stuff on Taobao?  Can I open a zhifubao account and connect it to my US bank account?  Alipay? Can I use Weixin?

I used my US credit cards to pay for stuff I bought from taobao as gifts to friends in China. So that is an option.
