poolmaniac747 Posted August 15, 2016 at 09:16 PM Report Posted August 15, 2016 at 09:16 PM Hi I am going to China in 3 weeks and I was wondering how much a tourist Visa is from the UK? I went to China in April and I paid £180 for a 3 month Visa and have been told that I paid too much. Does anyone know if this is the case? Many thanks Quote
guest1234 Posted August 15, 2016 at 09:51 PM Report Posted August 15, 2016 at 09:51 PM Here Is the pdf for visa fee's from the Embassy . http://www.visaforchina.org/LON_EN/upload/Attach/mrbj/289577.pdf If you have a UK passport and got the visa in April you will have been given a two year multi entry as this is all they do now. If you have a different passport then the above will tell you what it cost direct from the VISA centre. Regards Quote
poolmaniac747 Posted August 15, 2016 at 10:24 PM Author Report Posted August 15, 2016 at 10:24 PM That's great thanks. Do I have to let them know that I will be coming back to China in a few weeks? When I was completing the documentation in March I had to advise of my itinerary. Quote
guest1234 Posted August 16, 2016 at 07:55 AM Report Posted August 16, 2016 at 07:55 AM Hi No need to tell them. Look at your VISA . See link that explains what it all means. the main thing you need to check is "enter before " this will show its a two year VISA or not. and "entries " which should say multi. http://www.visaforchina.org/LON_EN/generalinformation/visaknowledge/263878.shtml If it is a two year multi entry you can come and go as you please as long as you do not stay longer than the number of days shown in "duration of each stay". hope that helps regards Quote
baihua Posted August 16, 2016 at 09:52 AM Report Posted August 16, 2016 at 09:52 AM I found the visa centre in London awful. I used this service, less hassle and only a slight mark-up on the price. Quote
onebir Posted August 17, 2016 at 11:36 AM Report Posted August 17, 2016 at 11:36 AM I found the visa centre in London awful. Agreed but I've been advised that for some classes of visa (eg X) going through an agent can reduce your chances. (I guess maybe if that agent has submitted problematic applications in the past) Quote
Guest realmayo Posted August 17, 2016 at 01:38 PM Report Posted August 17, 2016 at 01:38 PM I found the visa centre in London extremely extremely helpful, taking time to talk me through exactly what hoops I needed to jump through to get the visa I needed, despite some potential problems with my application.
