Bante Chyne Posted August 16, 2016 at 07:15 AM Report Posted August 16, 2016 at 07:15 AM Can anybody help me translating the tattoo in the picture to English? Would be very grateful Quote
somethingfunny Posted August 16, 2016 at 08:33 AM Report Posted August 16, 2016 at 08:33 AM 幸兄弟爱喜 Not a phrase I'm familiar with but I'm guessing you after something along the lines of "trusted and beloved brother". Either that or "trusted and beloved Korean cigarette brother" Quote
Lu Posted August 17, 2016 at 09:01 AM Report Posted August 17, 2016 at 09:01 AM Looks like it was pieced together from the example characters at the tattoo shop. This phrase makes no sense. On the plus side, they're all characters with good meanings ('brothers', 'love', 'happiness') and the calligraphy is nice. If it's your arm in the picture, you can safely display the tattoo, worst that can happen is that Chinese-reading people will look confused, but no one will be insulted or anything. If it's not you in the picture and you're considering getting this tattoo, I'd strongly advise you to reconsider. Perhaps get a picture or symbol that is meaningful to you, rather than characters in a foreign language you don't know. 1 Quote
