choisum Posted August 25, 2016 at 04:50 AM Report Posted August 25, 2016 at 04:50 AM I am looking to take GCSE later this year, and switch to a HSK course afterwards...does anyone know have a feel for HSK level the GCSE corresponds to? Quote
somethingfunny Posted August 25, 2016 at 10:27 AM Report Posted August 25, 2016 at 10:27 AM This and this should help you work it out. Higher tier GCSE is an A2 level in the CEFR, which Hanban believe is around HSK Level 2, but as you can see, other organisations have done comparisons and believe it is closer to Level 4. Hanban tend to overestimate the difficulty of the qualification they offer. The easy thing to think here is, "Great, I'll already be level 4!" where as actually, you should be thinking, "Wait, I've got GCSE and I'm already at Level 4? Maybe this HSK isn't that hot after all..." Quote
