Hello,

Lately I've moved in into small apartment and there are some letters on the wall in the kitchen. My sister already found out they're Chinese, so I would like to ask you to help me with translating them, I'm curious to know what they mean! Thank you in advance!

 

Here are the pictures. The two 'words' (I call it words because they're separate from each other) are next to each other, I just couldn't take a full picture of it at once:

Agreed. Also they look like they were copied by someone who didn't know Chinese themselves. The copyist clearly did their best to do this well, but you can still tell.

The way the left side of the word 伊 is written suggests that the person's name probably starts with a "Y".

I think skylee is right.

Where I come from, the female name posted above is written Yvonne, and pronounced 'ee-von' so it might approximate the pinyin version of 'yi'...

My wrong, this name is very rare in my country, and the only person I know writes it with "I".

@ Geiko Then you're not wrong. Where I come from, the name is spelled one way, but that doesn't mean it can't be spelled another way, even in the same location. Both my given and family names have at least two variant spellings each, but the pronunciation is identical for each. Names are tricky...
