Here is my attempt:

约 yue - pact

束 shu - binds

愛 ai - love

So it probably means "binding love"

@Jgc what did you think it meant?

Interesting, I found 约束 in Pleco with those meanings but also binding as "keeping within the bounds of the agreement"

I suppose it could mean restricted love.

I was trying to understand what it might have meant as a tattoo and binding love sort of made sense, but it could be something different.

Wonder what the OP thought it said?

From what I know, 约束 means 'to restrict' as in 'the king's power is restricted by law'. Without further context, I'd read 约束爱 as 'restrict love, don't let love get out of hand'. Which is probably not what the owner of the tattoo meant.

The calligraphy is okay, not outstanding, but no mistakes and not too ugly.

In Japanese, 約束 means promise. 愛 means love.

It might be good to note that the tattoo is not in the simplified script used in Mainland China.
