Does this translation correct ?

Please help me to translate this word: "他们的声音变调了,毛发也开始长出来了。Tāmen de shēngyīn biàndiàole, máofà yě kāishǐ zhǎng chūláile. "

The internet website (http://ce.linedict.com/)%C2'> me this translation: "Their voices broke and hair grew in all sorts of strange places.", which I think is incorrect.

What is the correct translation for that word ?

'Their voice changed and hair [body hair] started to grow.'

What's the context? This sentence looks like a description of boys going through puberty.

It's not a literal translation, but it's alright as a free translation. It looks like the English sentence was the original, and was translated into Chinese by a translator who didn't have much time.
