HerrPetersen Posted October 10, 2016 at 02:45 PM Report Posted October 10, 2016 at 02:45 PM I am not, but it would be helpful to know if you will teach at a Chinese school in Chinese or in English language or at an international school in English language. Quote

eion_padraig Posted November 8, 2016 at 12:01 PM Report Posted November 8, 2016 at 12:01 PM Hey Louispaul, There are lots of folks in your situation as there are lots of schools. As to whether there's a formalized group that talks and shares resources, that is a good question. I know there is a group of school/college counselors that meets and shares resources. I was just talking with a friend of mine who lives in Shanghai about this. I think it's less likely that science teachers would do that outside their schools, but it's possible. I don't get the feeling that there are too many international teachers on this forum as so few study Chinese. I'm a school counselor at an international school and I'm considering a position up there next year. Are you wondering about living in Shanghai in general or do you have specific questions about teaching science in Shanghai?Eion Quote
