Use to use Go keyboard.

It showed advertising when I charged my phone.

I have uninstalled Go keyboard which solved the problem. Would like to know what other Chinese keyboards would recommend?

After trying a half dozen different keyboards recently, and a total of about a dozen over the year, I've settled on "Shouxin." It has a good English and Chinese keyboard. I recommend it. Personally, not a fan of the Go keyboard and I hate the Sogou keyboard.

 

Edit: I should add that shouxin does a good job with predicting both English and Chinese words. The settings options are also very good and the interface is easy to navigate. No ads.

When I had android, I think I used google's pinyin keyboard... It also allows gesture typing in Chinese, which I liked...

I have tried out so many keyboards. I have settled on google's zhuyin keyboard as it can easily switch between pinyin and zhuyin as well as switch between traditional and simplified characters.

#2 -- Ben -- From where did you download the Shouxin keyboard? (What app store or what online source?) I'm assuming that the Chinese name must be 手心, like the palm of the hand, but maybe I'm wrong.

I found it through the Xiaomi App store. I just searched Baidu for it and found it with 手心输入法。 To my surprise, they also have a wonderfully beautiful website: http://www.xinshuru.com/

when you try the handwriting option, it gives you the 拼音 too

going to make it my default 输入法

I like Sogou or Google pinyin ime on Android.
