lisaord Posted July 21, 2005 at 08:12 AM Report Posted July 21, 2005 at 08:12 AM Hi. I've just purchased a domain name with a cn (in my profile) extention and would like to promote it. I have suggested that a chinese version of my website be put together and I'm awaiting a reply. Can anyone suggest a good promotion tool for getting on the chinese internet? The site bascially shows the new way of playing the UK National Lottery and the Euromillions Lottery (weekly jackpot is at $116,000,000 USD.) Any advice would be greatfully received. Lisa Quote

necroflux Posted March 16, 2006 at 02:23 AM Report Posted March 16, 2006 at 02:23 AM Lisa, I'm not exactly sure what your asking for but it sounds like a professional consultant would be more appropriate for your request than a forum. Quote
amo Posted April 18, 2006 at 03:48 AM Report Posted April 18, 2006 at 03:48 AM Hi Lisa. The lotto syndicate you are talking about, I do not think it is legal in China. Online gambling is prohibited by law here. And I guess your system is a system I already know from Europe where you sponsor in other people to play for then to receive commission on their gambling/playing. This will then be considered as MLM which also is ILEGAL in China. Direct selling companies such as Amwa, Avon, Nuskin, Perfect and others are now legal here, but with VERY STRICT requirement. They need a minimum of 10 physical outlets in one province to be legal, they need to leave behind a miimum of 20% of the monthly turnover in China and they need to deposit a multimillion dollar deposit in China first. If the company is foreign it need to have a minimum 3 year track record before entering china. So again: Your Lotto syndicate will most likely be ilegal here. Quote
yonitabonita Posted June 15, 2006 at 04:00 PM Report Posted June 15, 2006 at 04:00 PM Hmm.. Reminds me an awful lot of the scams I used to investigate in a former lifetime. If China had an Office of Fair Trading, I'm sure it would have a few words on the matter. Indeed, here's what the UK OFT has to say about Lottery Promotions. http://www.oft.gov.uk/News/Press+releases/2005/18-05.htm Y Quote
