Need help translating this sentence

Hey guys!

 

I'm studying Nano biology, and when I'm in China, I find it difficult to describe my major in Chinese.

My major describes the (cell) biological processes using Physics and math principles. Later we can do research in Medicine.

 How do I best say this in Chinese?

 

I was thinking something like this:

我的专业是纳米生物学，是用武力和数学'describe'很多（细胞）生物学的'processes'。以后。。。'do research in medicine'.

Something like this (disclaimer: I'm not Chinese and have no expertise in this field):

是用物理（not 武力）和数学的原理来阐述生物过程（细胞变化）。我们以后会做医学研究。

（物理 was a typo though haha）

Is it also possible to use 基本 instead of 原理?

no , you can't do that

 

基本 is an adverb while 原理 is a noun in modern chinese language.
