Apollys Posted February 6, 2017 at 11:12 AM Author Report Posted February 6, 2017 at 11:12 AM Which tone? Quote
Daniel Tsui44 Posted February 6, 2017 at 11:33 AM Report Posted February 6, 2017 at 11:33 AM the first Quote
Lu Posted February 6, 2017 at 09:17 PM Report Posted February 6, 2017 at 09:17 PM @Daniel Tsui44, I think the OP is asking about tone sandhi. As you probably know, 一 changes tone, depending on what other word follows it. In this sentence, I don't think it's the first tone. Or do you disagree? @Apollys, I'd say second tone, but I'm not sure if my explanation of the reason would be correct. Quote
Daniel Tsui44 Posted February 6, 2017 at 11:18 PM Report Posted February 6, 2017 at 11:18 PM yeah, it's the 2nd. my mistake. Quote

lips Posted February 7, 2017 at 03:12 AM Report Posted February 7, 2017 at 03:12 AM I'm not talking about the tone. I'm saying that "easy" in English is not pronounced as "易zy". ['iːzɪ] is not pronounced as "yee-zi". The letter "e" is not pronounced as "yee" or 易。 Quote
