working as a civil engineer in China

Recommended Posts

I was learning Chinese as a hobby on the side for the most part. However, after I finished my civil engineering studies, I received a csc scholarship to study Chinese here full time for one year.

After one more semester here, my studies will be done, and I'm likely to return to Belgium and find a job there. However, I feel like the Chinese I know, and the year I spent here would go to waste in this case. Also, I quite enjoy living here.

Since I have no experience, and the Chinese market is kind of closed for foreign construction companies, it seems highly unlikely that I can find a starting position here.

So what are my options here?
