vabbian Posted May 22, 2017 at 12:38 PM Report Posted May 22, 2017 at 12:38 PM i can login. mine says 'in progress' not 'submitted'
Jina Posted May 23, 2017 at 11:30 AM Report Posted May 23, 2017 at 11:30 AM Hi, I am new to here and i am so glad that i could join in this forum Actually I applied directly to 3 universities but all of sudden i got an email from one of university that i'm pre-admitted. so i wanted to cancel my application of the rest 2 univ and leave my csc scholarship chance only for this univ. but i just dont know how should i cancel them? should i just withdraw the application form in csc system? i emailed each univ but i haven't heard anything from them.

vabbian Posted May 23, 2017 at 05:30 PM Report Posted May 23, 2017 at 05:30 PM Does in progress mean I have been recommended?. I know tsinghua didnt accept me So Peking or Fudan...

wanzima35 Posted May 24, 2017 at 04:05 AM Report Posted May 24, 2017 at 04:05 AM @vabbian gud luck too 1
artfullounger Posted May 24, 2017 at 07:16 AM Report Posted May 24, 2017 at 07:16 AM I thought "In progress" simply meant CSC approved - you still need the school's approval, no?

If it's the *university program* you applied for then the school has already recommended you. Now the CSC is checking, that's why it says *in progress*.
vabbian Posted May 24, 2017 at 05:04 PM Report Posted May 24, 2017 at 05:04 PM ah the wait is going to kill me I am pretty sure it is Fudan who accepted me, as the application status has changed to "Uploaded documents are reviewed" Whereas my Peking application has not changed. I wish the process was faster! I want to know the result so I can get on with things like booking flights, consolidating my things here in London etc... Getting notified in late July for a August/September start is very impractical!
Yamiiiiii Posted May 24, 2017 at 05:06 PM Report Posted May 24, 2017 at 05:06 PM did you apply directly to the universities @vabbian atleast your application status has changed, mine still at submitted, and on top of that no one is responsive ,the embassy ect its really hard to wait on blank not knowing if you even made the cut
vabbian Posted May 24, 2017 at 05:09 PM Report Posted May 24, 2017 at 05:09 PM @Yamiiiiii Applied to CSC first and then on each university online portal my Tsinghua application says 2017-05-15 一志愿考核结果:未录取。Admission of first-preference: Not Accepted. I am glad they stopped sending emails trying persuading me to go to Wuhan university lol 1
Yamiiiiii Posted May 24, 2017 at 05:13 PM Report Posted May 24, 2017 at 05:13 PM oh okay ,thats why you know the status of each school, we will just have to wait ,i agree july is just too far and it really eating me up but patience is the key
vabbian Posted May 24, 2017 at 05:18 PM Report Posted May 24, 2017 at 05:18 PM @Yamiiiiii I was under the impression that you have to apply to CSC and each uni simultaneously? If you just apply to CSC they don't have much indication of what course you want to study right? I mean you list the unis, and you have a study proposal but outside of that...

Yamiiiiii Posted May 24, 2017 at 06:51 PM Report Posted May 24, 2017 at 06:51 PM @vabbian when applying through csc ,you list your three university choices, than what you woud like to study e.g i picked management sciences ,then human resource management under management sciences,i thought it wasn't necessary to communicate with the universities? or is it? maybe i dont understand the process fully
Guest Posted May 24, 2017 at 07:11 PM Report Posted May 24, 2017 at 07:11 PM @Yamiiiiii It is not necessary to get a pre-admission letter from your chosen universities, but it can be very helpful in order to avoid getting recruited by a different one stated in the CSC application.
artfullounger Posted May 24, 2017 at 07:15 PM Report Posted May 24, 2017 at 07:15 PM @vabbian Many of us are applying for degree programs.
